Singapore has always felt like home to me. It’s quite similar to Sydney, it’s easy to get around, there’s always something to do, people are welcoming, plus the best thing about Singapore is that the shops are open til late! Minus the humidity, it’s probably my favourite layover.
Now, I would like to think I’m almost a local when it comes to Singapore, having spent an entire week there before (which is more than enough) and having stopped over there on a few other trips, it still amazes me how excited I get when touching down at the airport.
This time round I had a few friends with me for the first two days so I took them to Universal Studios and did the usual tourist sight seeing.
It fascinates me how this small country can have such high prosperity, I guess having a low tax threshold and disposable income helps. I feel like everyone is a foodie, they know how to eat here! Whether is locally or fine dining, they know their food! I would happily live in this country, well you know… if I had a high paying job where I can afford rent – then yes definitely!
I stayed at the Park Hotel on Alexander which was amazing! Not to mention their pool side bar had great cocktails!
Starting my birthday weekend with drinks by the pool
Because going there once wasn’t enough…(this is my second time at Universal)
My favourite Singapore Spot, Gardens by the Bay
Until next time Singapore!
